Follow these step by step instructions carefully so you can maximize your experience with Aweber and your business with The Empower Network.
Steps For Creating Your Aweber Account
Step One: Create an Aweber Account
Click on the tab that says “Order”.
Choose the option that is right for you. (Hint: If you are just starting out small, the $19/month option is fine.)
Fill in all your contact and credit card information.
Click the big green button to continue.
Step Two: Getting Aweber List Set up
You might have to skip past a few ads. Just keep clicking “Got It, Take Me to My Account” until you see a screen that says “List Stats”.
Click “Create a New List” at the bottom.
Under “List Name” type what you want the unique list name to be. It can be anything you like. Aweber only allows lowercase names.
Under “List Description” type what you want the list description to be. It can be anything you like, but for organization purposes I suggest using something like “Your Name’s Empower Network” etc.
Continue to fill in the rest of the basic information form. Click “Save Settings”
Add The Empower Network to the “Company Name” Field Under website URL, use your SALES page (http://empowernetwork.com/commissionloophole.php?id=USERNAME)
The reason why you want to do this over your capture page is that people have already opted in to your emails, otherwise they would not be getting the letter that has the link on it!
Uploading a logo, adding social media, etc. is not needed but is an option.
Now, this next part is really up to you. I turn OFF my opt-in required for my The Empower Network page. Mostly because I’m trying to make it as easy as possible for people to learn about The Empower Network and if they have to do one more step by checking their email for a link, it isn’t going to happen. SO… I check “OFF” in the section that states “Require Opt-In On Web Forms”. I DO NOT recommend skipping this for any other list you create, such as for your personal blog or any other list.
Click “Save Settings”
Step Three: Adding Follow Up Messages
Click on the “Messages” tab at the top of the page. If you are a little more advanced in copywriting, click “Create Follow Up Message” and write your own.
If you already have your follow up messages from someone elses camaign, make sure you go into the links and change them all to your affiliate ID (?id=USERNAME/HERE) eg:?id=russcampbell This will be on the end of your links so it can be tracked to you. Hi-light the word or phrase by clicking and dragging the icon over the selecten you want to be a link.
At the top you will see an icon that looks like the world with a bow in front of it. Left-click to select this and inside you will see a spot to paste your url you would like them to go to (http://……..), then hit “Apply”.
When done editing your links in a follow-up and hit “APPLY” on the last one of that particular follow-up, MAKE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN TO SAVE MESSAGE after editing the links. Otherwise the links “applied” in the message will not be saved
Keep in mind your spam rating on the side (right) and keep it blow 3. Otherwise your follow-ups might end up in your leads junk mail, never to see them. (1.5). It’s a ratio between words and links. Too many links up your spam rating.

Also, you can replace the username at the end of ALL David Wood’s posts with your own username, hit enter, and THEN share it on facebook/twitter etc. and they will all be tracked back to you. You get the sales. Just go to Dave’s blog at The Empower Network, click on a post to read and change the link at the top to your username.
The Empower Network | Adding Aweber to The Empower Network
Finally, add Aweber to your business in The Empower Network.
Login to The Empower Network. Click on the “My Tools” tab. Click on “Click Here to Add Your AWeber List Name” Insert the campaign name you used when you created the Aweber list. (In this tutorial, the name you used in Step Two, #3.) Click “Submit to Change
Test your list by going to http://www.empowernetwork.com/almostasecret.php?id=YOUR/USERNAME Insert a junk email address and submit. Go into your Aweber account Click on the “My Lists” tab. You should see at least one email address in the list you created.
