A couple of years ago, a good friend of mine, Sally, was in the health care field. She worked an hour a way from home but wanted to work closer to home. When the opportunity finally came for a chance for her to work closer to home, she questioned it.

“Oh I don’t know if I should apply” and “What if I don’t get the job?”, Sally said to me one day over dinner.

I told her, “What is the worst that could happen? You want to work closer to home, right? Apply for the job and see what happens, believe in yourself. “

She looked at me and said, “You’re right!!! I am going to go for it, after all there are 10 positions.”

A couple of weeks later she phoned me and said,”I have a job interview!”

“That’s great I said, good luck.”

After her job interview, Sally came over for a cup of coffee, her head hanging.

“What”s wrong? How did your job interview go?”, I said.

“Oh I did okay, but I don’t think I got the job”, she cried.

“You don’t know that! Believe in yourself!”, I explained

A week later, Sally called me, she was excited, “I took your advice, I have been telling myself, I will get the job, I believe in myself!”

Did she get the job?
